Though the $91,000 car receives 400 hp from a twin turbocharged V-8, delivery of that power is passive, and progress is languid. This, however, is the smooth, indulgent, and elegant charm of the 650i. The full four-seater—heavier, longer, and wider than its previous generation—is equipped with a rev-reducing 8-speed automatic transmission.
